Choice, Nutrition and Balance

In the early 2000’s Snackworks recognized the trends toward interest in “better for you” snack, food and beverage options.  To address those trends we worked with a registered nutritionist and developed our Snackworks Smart Selections program.  Since then we have transitioned to our current The Right Choice…for a better you program.

The Right Choice for a Healthier You dietary guidelines include levels on caloric content, sodium, cholesterol, fat (including saturated and trans fats) and sugar. The guidelines also highlight intake of protein and fiber as well as vitamins and minerals.  Any item meeting the dietary guidelines establish qualification for the Right Choice logo indication that product meets or exceeds The Right Choice for a Healthier You criteria.

In addition we partner with our customers to design customer specific programs to meet their own goals. In some customer locations we have even incorporated tiered pricing strategies to influence purchasing habits of their employees. You will find a warm reception to your thoughts and ideas as we work together to implement a strategy focused on your goals.

Our goal of providing reliable nutrition education and offering alternative healthier products that meet specific guidelines reflects the ChooseMyPlate.gov principles of balance and portion control. As you may already be aware, our promise is product trust and commitment to quality nutrition information.
